Sabīne Šnē is a Latvian visual artist and educator who explores relationships between humans and the more-than-human, focusing on how organisms and elements sustain life on Earth and how they are affected by resource exploitation and extraction.
Her work spans moving image, sound, sculpture, creative writing and drawing. Curiosity about living beings and care for them continue to shape her creative process, alongside an urge to emphasise how deeply interconnected our lives are, and how ecology is inseparable from political, social and economic systems.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including recent exhibitions at the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art (Riga, 2026), Naughton Gallery (Belfast, 2026), Riga Photography Bienniale (Riga, 2026), GroundWork Gallery (King’s Lynn, 2025), HUB/Art (Barcelona, 2025), RIXC Gallery (Riga, 2025). Recent video work screenings include Images Festival (Toronto, 2026), Deep Focus (London, 2026), Animator Festival (Poznań, 2025).
