Anastasia (A) Alevtin is a Helsinki-based transdisciplinary artist and researcher who reads, scripts, records, screens, performs, programs, and publishes for more liveable queercrip and migrant/migratised—ordinary worlds.
Their work inquires into fleeting doings-in-common and stubborn practices of nonapparent subversion improvised against disabling and debilitating norms and is shaped by an ecological perspective. With a background in crip, queer, feminist theory and recently retraining in screenwriting, Alevtin conspires with brilliant bodily ambivalences and their queercrip sensorium to tell small stories of small (yet world-shifting!) affects.
They work in sticky affinities with words and their fragments and are enchanted by how some bodies move some texts. They hold dear one-on-one performances, performance lectures, short and slow (what a paradox!) video works, independent publishing and collective learning.
