Agnė Jokšė (b. 1993) is an artist, writer and artists' rights advocate currently based in Vilnius.
Working with approaches associated with autoethnography, Jokšė tells stories in which personal experience, memory and past events intertwine with reflections on love, intimacy, relations and friendship. Often working with video and performative text, their practice investigates parallel histories, compassion, entangled relations, queerness and language.
Jokšė’s work has recently been presented at Index, KINDL, Pickle Bar, Centre Pompidou, KADIST, Palais de Tokyo, Kunsthalle Münster, GIBCA, Tallinn Art Hall, Edinburgh Art Festival, e-flux Screening Room, Cell Project Space, Editorial, Whitechapel Gallery and the 14th Baltic Triennial.
