Nicholas John Jones

Nicholas John Jones is an artist and curator based in Oslo, Norway. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of PRAKSIS. His curatorial practice champions interdisciplinary and transnational dialogue, fostering creative knowledge and communities by connecting artists, thinkers, and institutions across borders and disciplines.

Nicholas holds an MFA from the Slade School of Art and has participated in Curator Lab at Konstfack, Stockholm. He has taught at Wimbledon College of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) where he curated the degree shows for the MA Art and Public Space and Medium and Material-Based Art in 2022 and 2023. He has curated exhibitions and coordinated programmes, discussions, and events internationally, including at The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant (Bucharest), Teknisk Museum (Oslo), and Lusaka Contemporary Art Centre (LuCAC). He has contributed to art journals including Artforum, Kunstkritikk, and Billedkunst, and is the editor of several books, including Don’t Rest, Narrate – A Book About Art, Publishing, and Collaboration (Torpedo Press, 2020), You Talking to Me? – An Art Mediator’s Handbook (Art Encounters, 2024), and Seeking Sustainable Tourism – Through Art, Architecture, and Community (Jovis, 2026).
