Future Futures: Nordic Network

PRAKSIS, Index (Stockholm) and Publics (Helsinki) have initiated Future Futures - a network that aims to share knowledge that will support institutional sustainability, and encourage meaningful approaches to working with publics - particularly young adults.

The three founding institutions pursue differing models, yet share goals and democratic values: PRAKSIS focuses developing creative practice through exchange, Index is an exhibition center, and Publics is a meeting space based on the concept of the library. Conceptual and practical artistic work, presentation of artistic practices and distribution of ideas are the core engagements of all three initiating members of the network.

The institutions share a desire for transparency, experimentation and definition of our local, national and Nordic realities. The diversity of approach and experience between partners is a vital part of seeking democratic ecosystems that include publics. The observation of these three structures aims to generate a deeper understanding of the artistic chain of conceptual production, presentation and distribution of content.

To discover more about our collaborators, visit the websites of Index and Publics. The network intends to grow to include additional members over time.

Future Futures is supported by Nordic Culture Point.
