PRAKSIS Development Forum (PDF) session 11 welcomes Oslo based artist Helene Duckert, who will start the round-table discussion by sharing her current work.

Duckert works with discarded objects, detritus, and obsolete materials scavenged around the city, creating assemblages, installations and performances that comment on contemporary living. Since obtaining an MFA from Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Helene has presented her practice from the gallery to street and worked individually and collectively, reflecting a versatile approach to art-production.

Following the guest presentation, the table will open up for all participants to share their own work in progress or ideas. Each participant will have approximately 20 minutes to focus on their own artistic activity. PDF’s focus is on works and ideas in progress, so please do not present finished works or projects. Projects in development can be shared in a number of ways, for example; showing physical works, slideshows, readings, performances, or any means which suitably communicates ideas. A projector and laptop is available throughout the session. PDF encourages variety and experimentation, so please get in touch if you have any questions or requirements.

If you are simply curious about PDF and don't necessarily want to show anything, feel free to come and see what goes on.

Space to present at PDF is limited so please RSVP your place by emailing: office@praksisoslo.org for attention of Sayed.

PDF is free to join, and refreshments are provided.
