Reaching Out

From 2023-2026 PTAB and its sister youth boards at Index (Stockholm) and PUBLICS (Helsinki) are working on the project Reaching Out. Each year the boards look at established ways that institutions communicate with publics. Board members gain new experiences, while also providing feedback and looking to develop their own ways of working. Each year the boards organise a conference where they come together to collectively explore ideas and to share perspectives with others. Experiments and suggestions are gathered through a series of outputs that use forms that relate to the topic the boards are addressing.

In 2024 the focus is on video and film. Ranging across vlogs and advertisements, video guides, artworks and more. The boards are working with artists and meeting with institutions as they develop their own responses to the question: How does your board think arts institutions should use video and film to reach people?
