In early 2017 PRAKSIS asked Norwegian Crafts if a residency collaboration could help its agenda. The outcome was a multi-dimensional residency focused on the theme of Adornment and Gender: Engaging Conversation being developed in collaboration with the French maker, curator and writer Benjamin Lignel. An incredibly diverse group of creative professionals joined the residency alongside Benjamin: Tone Bjerkaas, Auli Laitinen, Matt Lambert, Nanna Melland, Darja Popolitova, Aleyda Rocha, Mallika Roy, Ella Heidi Sand, Shweta Sharma, and Ahmed Umar.
During the final days of the residency, the group identified aspects that had been key to their experience. These kaleidoscopic reflections can be viewed on their specially constructed website.
