The eight residents participating in The Collective Subject of History have backgrounds as either artists or curators and they share a common interest in archives as spaces through which to examine and reconsider historical narratives. This cohort of eleven residents are brought together from backgrounds that include art, craft, fashion and data ethnography, by a common engagement with the role of adornment in the expression of gender identities. During this intimate session each resident will briefly present their practice, followed by the opportunity for questions and further discussion.
