PRAKSIS and Fellesverkstedet are pleased to invite German sculptor Gereon Krebber to develop a residency focusing on an ambitious large scale site specific work in a location unique to Oslo. An open call will be held in early 2018 to bring together a residency group.
Gereon Krebber plays with the diversity of materials such as ceramic, burnt wood, gelatin and plastic wrap and their multitude of formal possibilities. The abstract forms and biomorphic structures of his works challenge the viewer with an underlying ambivalence. He is a Professor at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and his work has been shown widely including at Museum DKM, Duisburg; artON Istanbul; Bloomberg Space, London; Kunstmuseum Stuttgart; K20, Düsseldorf; and Kunstmuseum Bonn. He is represented by Cindy Rucker Gallery, New York, alexanderlevy, Berlin and Galerie Christian Lethert, Cologne.
Fellesverkstedet is a not for profit organisation providing open access production facilities and knowledge in the centre of Oslo.
